Then and Now
Founded in 1985, LMS (Liquid Molding Systems, Inc.) pioneered the development of computer keyboard springs through precision liquid silicone injection molding. Building on this success, LMS invented a proprietary process for LIM (Liquid Injection Molding) silicone molding and grew to be a global leader. Specializing in patented, close-tolerance elastomeric valve dispensing and flow control products, LMS is now rated as one of the top 3 silicone LIM molders in the world.
Utilizing its proprietary technology, LMS designs and manufactures critical components for a diverse list of key global markets, including food & beverage, hygiene/personal care, medical device, recreation/sports, child care, packaging, and housewares industries.
LMS is a subsidiary of AptarGroup, Inc., of Crystal Lake, Illinois. AptarGroup is a major industrial supplier of innovative pumps, closures and valves for convenience dispensing products used in the fragrance/cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, household and food & beverage markets. With headquarters in Europe and the USA, AptarGroup’s annual sales exceed $2 billion.
LMS is successful in meeting the ever-changing needs of our customers. Our in-house services include design, model-making, prototyping, mold construction, a proprietary molding process, and expertise in integrating silicone and plastic components. Our proprietary system is specifically designed to produce precise, high-quality silicone components at a much lower cost, a competitive advantage for LMS and our customers.
Manufacturing is centrally located in Midland, Michigan, putting us close to raw material suppliers.
